Irvine, Calif. — Competing in the Big West Tournament semifinals, Long Beach State fell to No. 1-seed Hawai'i 9-6, Saturday afternoon at the Anteater Aquatics Complex.
Junior Tori Morrissey finished the game with three goals, her second consecutive game in the tournament with at least a hat trick.
In the opening half, the Rainbow Warrors (21-4) applied the pressure fast taking a 4-1 lead after the first quarter and extended the lead to 6-2 at halftime.
In the first half, seniors Virginia Smith and Alexandra Massier each scored to put LBSU (12-14) on the board.

In the final period, Morrissey scored all three goals as the Beach shutout Hawaii, but it wasn't enough as LBSU wasn't able to mount the comeback.
