Long Beach State had its best score of the tournament during Wednesday’s final round, led by 2-over 74 from junior Holland Shourds.

SAMMAMISH, Wash. -- Long Beach State finished up the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite on Wednesday with its best team score of the week, shooting 302 as a team at Sahalee Country Club. That mark was tied for the fifth-best team score of the day and moved the Beach up to ninth in the team standings.

Junior Holland Shourds led the Beach on Wednesday with a 2-over round of 74, which was the best round of the tournament for Long Beach State. She closed her round with birdies on two of her final three holes to move into a tie for 26^th on the individual leaderboard, joining teammate Euna Pak who also finished with a total of 228 for the week.

Senior Haley Tygret was one shot back of Shourds on Wednesday, going 1-under during the second half of her round to finish with a 3-over 75. Senior Cara Barker closed the tournament with a 76 in the final round to finish tied for 30^th.

The Beach will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 21 for the three-day Las Vegas Collegiate Shootout in Boulder City, Nev., hosted by UNLV.
