LAST TIME OUT
• Long Beach State went 1-1 last week, capping off a six-match homestand with a 5-2 win over Brown, then suffered a 7-0 defeat at No. 16 Pepperdine the next day.
• Over the past two weeks, LBSU played three of four matches against nationally ranked opposition, going 1-2 in those matches with a 5-2 win over No. 46 Denver on Mar. 26.
ACROSS THE NET - SACRAMENTO STATE
• The Hornets are also coming off a loss on the road to a Top 20 team, falling 7-0 at No. 18 California on Wednesday. Sac State has lost four of its last five matches to follow up a stretch of winning four of five matches.
• The match in Sacramento was moved to Sac State's indoor tennis facility. This will be the seventh match played in the indoor facility this season and the Hornets are 3-3 in those previous six appearances.
• Sacramento State is 0-3 against Big West competition this season, losing 4-3 against UC Davis, UC Irvine and Cal Poly.
• Long Beach State holds an 8-4 all-time advantage vs. Sacramento State, including a 5-2 win last season in Long Beach.
ACROSS THE NET - UC DAVIS
• The Aggies enter the weekend at 14-7 overall and 2-4 in Big West play. After playing UC Riverside on Thursday, UCD will complete its Big West season against the Beach on Saturday.
• Davis has been good at home this season, boasting an impressive 9-1 mark before the match with Riverside. The Aggies' only home defeat this season came at the hands of UC Santa Barbara, 4-0, on Feb. 18.
• LBSU holds a 13-1 advantage in the all-time series and won 4-0 in last season's meeting.
BEACH THREEPEAT
• The last three winners of Big West Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week have all been from Long Beach State. First, it was Maeva Razkasoa winning her sixth career AOTW honor on Mar. 15, followed by Julie Gerard on Mar. 22 and Natalia Munoz on Mar. 29.
• Gerard and Munoz both won the award for the first time in their careers thanks to 4-0 weeks on the court. For Munoz, her four wins were against players from ranked teams: No. 39 Dartmouth and No. 46 Denver.
100 WINS AND RUNNIN'
• With a 6-3, 6-0 win over Georgetown's Victorie Saperstein on Mar. 7, senior Maeva Razakasoa reached 100 career singles wins at Long Beach State. She is the new all-time leader in career singles wins, ahead of current LBSU assistant coach Anais Dallara.
• Razakasoa has a career win percentage of .745 in singles action, and during dual match play, has played 69 of her 82 singles matches at the No. 1 spot in the Beach lineup.
• As of this week, Razakasoa's career singles win total is at 105, bringing her overall wins total at Long Beach State to 178. She is currently tied for third place on the overall wins list in program history and could challenge Dallara's record for overall wins at 189.
SENIORS SPECIAL
• The 2017 senior class will go down as one of the best in Long Beach State history, and is already the winningest. All four of this year's seniors—Laura Eales, Julie Gerard, Maeva Razakasoa and Hayley Thompson—are in the Top 15 for overall wins in program history. Razakasoa and Gerard are No. 1 and 2, respectively, in singles wins all-time.
• Razakasoa is a two-time and defending Big West Player of the Year. She is looking to claim the conference's top honor for the third time this season, which would put her one award shy of LBSU Hall of Famer Hannah Grady.
• Razakasoa briefly entered the national singles rankings on Feb. 8, checking in at No. 124 in the country.
