No. 7 Beach Prepare For Six-Game Homestand

Long Beach, Calif. – After a three-game road trip, No. 7 Long Beach State is preparing for a six-game homestand that starts Wednesday when the Beach welcomes No. 12 UC San Diego to Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center at 6 p.m.
The Beach (9-9, 0-2) is coming off two losses this weekend to No. 9 Pepperdine and No. 2 UCLA. The No. 12 Tritons (7-10, 4-0) are coming off a 13-8 win against No. 17 Cal Baptist.
Leading the Tritons this year is Connor Turnbow-Lindenstadt and Arman Momdzhyan who have both scored 38 goals this season.
Following their matchup against UCSD, the Beach will take on No. 8 UC Santa Barbara (9-8, 0-1) in a key Golden Coast game on Friday at 7 p.m.
In the teams’ first matchup this year, the Beach came away with a 9-6 win at the Triton Invitational in September.
The Gauchos are led by Ivan Gvozdanovic and Boris Jovanovic who have scored 24 and 21 goals respectively.
Wrapping up the weekend, LBSU will have a doubleheader Sunday starting with a game against No. 3 California (15-1) at noon and ending the day with an exhibition against Golden West College.
The Beach lost to Cal 14-7 at the Triton Invitational Sept. 3. The Bears are led by Luca Cupido who has scored 44 goals.
