Beach Tennis Concludes Fall Schedule at CSUN Tournament

Long Beach, Calif. - In its final official competition of the calendar year, Beach Tennis will visit Big West rival CSUN for the Matador Collegiate Invitational in Northridge this weekend. Long Beach State will send three players to the tournament: freshmen Maren Helgo and Natalia Munoz, plus junior Lena Pacholski.
Helgo and Pacholski will compete in the Singles A bracket, starting action Friday at 11:30 a.m. Helgo faces Utah State's Kate Tugarinova in the first round, while Pacholski matches up with Nozomi Matsuoka from Cal State Los Angeles. In the Singles B draw, Munoz will face Liza Sokolova of CSLA in Friday morning's first round.
First up will be doubles, starting at 10 a.m. in Doubles Flight A with Pacholski and Munoz teaming up to face Tugarinova and Sabrina Demerath from Utah State. Helgo will partner with Mari Udagawa of CSUN to take on conference rivals Masako Makiba/Luxizi Meng of Cal State Fullerton.
Action will resume Saturday with two singles rounds and one doubles round, with championships and consolation finals being played on Sunday morning in Northridge.
