Beach Tennis Heads to Southwest Regionals in San Diego

Long Beach, Calif. - Beach Tennis will head down to San Diego on Thursday to start the 2016 ITA Southwest Regional Championships. The Beach will see its players go up against opponents from schools across Southern California and Arizona, battling for bragging rights in the region.

Long Beach State will have Julie Gerard, Maren Helgo, Natalia Munoz, Lena Pacholski, Maeva Razakasoa and Hayley Thompson competing this weekend, in what is the penultimate tournament of LBSU's fall schedule. All that remains after this weekend is the CSUN Fall Tournament, Nov. 11-13. The Beach will also host its winter tournament Jan. 20-22 in preparation for the regular season.

Play at the Southwest Regionals starts Thursday and will continue through the weekend into Monday, Oct. 24. Check back at LongBeachState.com for daily results from the tournament.
