LONG BEACH - Chris Segesman, a two-time All-American and Men's Water Polo star will join the Long Beach State Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the induction class of 2015.
Beach Athletics is proud to announce the honorees chosen for induction into the Long Beach State Athletics Hall of Fame for the class of 2015. Over the next three weeks, we will be announcing the Class of 2015 in advance of the ceremony to be held on Thursday, November 12 at the Long Beach Renaissance Hotel.
One of Long Beach State's top scorers all-time, Chris Segesman was an integral part of Rick Azevedo's teams of the late 1990s, and early 2000s, most notably in the 2001 season. In his senior season, Segesman scored 50 goals and led the 49ers to a final ranking of No. 4, matching 2014 for the highest in program history.
Segesman earned first-team All-America honors in both 2000 and 2001, and was a three-time first-team All-MPSF selection, matching only 49ers Kyle Kopp and Mike Burke in that distinction.
With 165 goals scored, Segesman ranks seventh all-time in career goals, and twice scored six goals in a game.
Check back next week for our next Hall of Fame Inductee.
