No. 15 Women's Water Polo Heads to San Diego

Junior Christina Kotsia has tallied 14 goals so far in the season.

Long Beach, Calif. - Women's water polo will travel to San Diego this weekend to face No. 19 UC San Diego and No. 12 San Diego State. Long Beach State will start the weekend with the UC San Diego Tritons at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27. The Beach will then play the San Diego State Aztecs at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28.

Earlier in the season, LBSU lost to UC San Diego in the Santa Barbara Winter Invite, but then beat the Tritons in a sudden death victory at the Triton Invitational.

LBSU is lead by senior Justine Morgan who has 15 goals and junior Christina Kotsia with 14 goals. Freshman Alexandra Massier scored her first goal in the last match at the Bucknell Invitational to grant the Beach a win against Marist.
