Ljepopio, Lappas Earn 2015 All-American Honors

Seniors Pavo Ljepopio and Dimitrios Lappas earned a spot in the ACWPC 2015 Men's Div. I All-America Team. Lappas earned 3rd-team All-American honors, while Ljepopio earned honorable mention.
Lappas received his second ACWPC All-American honor after notching honorable mention in his junior season. He also earned All-MPSF Honorable Mention for his second award this season, which was also his second All-Conference honor of his collegiate career.
Lappas finished with 30 goals his senior year and 114 career goals. He closed the season as the third leading scorer on the team, scoring in 19 of 29 games and netting multiple goals in six matches. He sparked the scoring for the Beach early in the season with three hat tricks in the first five games.
Lappas has been a consistent scorer for LBSU, scoring 30 goals or more in his four years at the Beach.
This is the second All-American Honor for Ljepopio, who also earned Honorable Mention in his junior season at the Beach.
Ljepopio came to the Beach from Notre Dame College and immediately made an impact in this program. In his first year here, Ljepopio set the Beach career record for saves made in a season with 301. He also ranked three times in program history in total saves made in a game. His 18 saves against Pacific in 2013 is was a career high, tied for second-best in program history. He was also named to the 2013 and 2014 All-MPSF Honorable Mention.
Ljepopio ended this season with 273 saves, and has a total of 784 career saves at the Beach. Ljepopio made a huge impact on the program his first year here totaling 301 saves. That mark is first All-Time in saves made in a single season. His career at the Beach was a memorable one, getting Long Beach State in the MPSF Record Books in Career Saves, where Ljepopio ranks seventh overall and second All-Time in LBSU history.
