Women's Water Polo Ranked 11th In CWPA Preseason Poll

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - The Long Beach State women's water polo team will begin the 2015 season ranked 11th, according to the national poll released by the Collegiate Water Polo Association. In the 2014 pre-season, LBSU was also ranked 11th.
LBSU landed in the middle of all seven Big West squads that cracked the top-20. UC Irvine garnered a No. 6 ranking with to lead the conference while Hawai'i came in at No. 8. Cal State Northridge tied LBSU for the No. 11, UC Santa Barbara was 14th and UC Davis was 19th.
Stanford rose up from second last year to claim to top spot in the poll.
The Beach lost six seniors starters from last year's team that went 25-7 and ended the season at No. 13.
The season begins on Jan. 24-26 when The Beach heads to Santa Barbara, Calif. for the UCSB Winter Invite.
