Beach Tennis Opens Fall Season At UNLV Invitational

The Long Beach State tennis team will begin its 2014 fall season at the UNLV Invitational this weekend in Las Vegas, Nev. The Beach will send all six of its returning players to the opening fall tournament.
"We are looking forward to this weekend and starting our fall season. It looks to be a solid weekend of tennis where we can begin some fine tuning," commented head coach Jenny Hilt-Costello.
For the fall season, the Beach tennis roster features the six returners who led LBSU to the Big West regular season and tournament titles last year. One of those returners is reigning Big West Player and Freshman of the Year Maeva Razakasoa. Senior Karolina Rozenberg and junior Ebba Unden will also lead the Beach into the new season.
The UNLV Invitational features four teams: the Beach, UNLV, South Alabama and Northern Arizona. The tournament is separated into three flights of singles and three flights of doubles to take place Friday-Sunday. Each player will play one singles and one doubles match per day.
