Beach Tennis Welcomes Ten Teams To Fall Tournament

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Beach Tennis will see its first action at home this weekend when it hosts the Beach Tennis Tournament in the Rhodes Tennis Center. In addition to Long Beach State, ten teams will send players to the three-day tournament: UCLA, Montana, Portland State, Grand Canyon, Air Force, CSUN, LMU, Cal State Fullerton, UC Riverside and UC Irvine.

The action gets underway on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Rhodes Tennis Center. The participants are split into four singles and two doubles flights with each flight starting at the Round of 16. Friday will feature a mix of singles and doubles throughout the day while Saturday will start with doubles at 9 a.m. and the n feature singles competition the rest of the day. Sunday will again feature a mix with the finals of the singles matches being played out.

The Beach will place all six of its current players throughout the four singles and two doubles flights.
