Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State will play three more Big West matches this season, all coming at the Campus Pool as the 49ers conclude the regular season. The 49ers will start by hosting No. 16 UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, April 16 before hosting No. 14 CS Northridge on Sunday, April 17.
The 49ers (11-14), who dropped their first two Big West games on the road last weekend, get an opportunity to get back on track with two more matches this weekend. First up is a match against UCSB (19-10), whom the 49ers defeated 5-2 back in February in a non-conference matchup.
The next day, Long Beach State returns to the campus pool, facing another squad that the 49ers previously defeated in No. 14 CS Northridge (21-11). The 49ers topped the Matadors 10-7 back on Feb. 13 at the UC Irvine Invitational.
Long Beach State then closes the regular season by hosting No. 10 UC Irvine in a night game at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 21. Prior to the beginning of that match, the team will honor its three seniors, Meaghan Leonard, Lauren Sieprath and Kristen Stragier in a Senior Night ceremony.
The team will then participate in the Big West Tournament hosted by UC Santa Barbara. The tournament will run from April 29 to May 1.
