Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State women's tennis finishes up the fall season, as the 49ers travel to San Diego to play in the ITA Regionals. The tournament will feature 15 teams, and seven 49ers will be competing.

Also getting byes will be senior Rachel Manasse and junior Sarah Cantlay, while Julie Luzar and the two 49er newcomers Laura Bernard and Karolina Rozenberg will each start off Thursday morning in the Round of 128. Bernard will face UCLA's Morgan Thomas and Luzar will play Maja Sujica of San Diego, while Rozenberg draws a Big West opponent in Sabrina Man-Son-Hing of CS Northridge. Junior Anna Jeczmionka will only play singles for the 49ers, starting off with a matchup with Nigora Sirojiddinova of CS Northridge in the Round of 128.

However, despite the first-round respite, the tandem will face a tough Round of 32 opponent, taking on the top seed in #14 Issara/Granillo from Pepperdine.
In Long Beach State's other doubles openers, Cantlay and Luzar will play Miya Jin and Tory Parravi of LMU, while Dallara and Rozenberg will play together for the first time, facing off with Joanna and Nicole Smith of Arizona State.
The tournament features six schools from the Big West, three from the WCC, four from the Pac-12 as well as Hawaii and the host San Diego State Aztecs. Play will continue through Monday, October 24.
