Long Beach, Calif. - No. 53 Long Beach State finishes a ten-match homestand with two weekday matches this week, hosting No. 47 Ohio State today at 2 p.m. before a Thursday date with Washington State.
Beach Tennis comes off of a strong week last week where the 49ers defeated two ranked opponents in No. 55 Minnesota and No. 42 Nebraska, using singles to outlast both teams.
This week, the 49ers start by hosting the Buckeyes today at 2 p.m. at the Rhodes Tennis Center, and then finish their week Thursday with another 2 p.m. start against No. 70 Washington State.
After this current run of four straight ranked matches, the 49ers will face two more tough conference opponents in Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara, starting next Friday in San Luis Obispo.
