Long Beach, Calif. - Beach Tennis hosts a pair of matches this weekend, taking on Nevada in a regularly scheduled match as well as a Big West conference match against Cal State Fullerton rescheduled from early February.
The No. 53 49ers begin the week by taking on Cal State Fullerton in a conference match. Long Beach State, 4-0 in conference play, will take on the Titans in a match that was originally scheduled for Feb. 5, but was called off due to heavy rains. That match is set for Thursday, March 11 at 2 p.m.
After Cal State Fullerton, Beach Tennis will return the following afternoon for a non-conference match, and will look for a measure of revenge against Nevada, who defeated the 49ers last season. That match will also begin at 2 p.m. on March 12.
Those two matches are part of a long homestand for Long Beach State that will continue until the 49ers travel to No. 75 Cal Poly for a key Big West matchup on April 2.
