Tennis Home Opener Postponed

The 49ers and Trojans will try again on Wednesday.

Long Beach, Calif. - For the second time in three weeks, the elements have played havoc with Beach Tennis, this time forcing the postponement of the team's home opener with Cal State Fullerton, originally scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday.

Due to the continuing rains, the teams will instead play on Thursday, March 11, while keeping the same start time of 2 p.m. The 49ers (2-1) new conference opener will be on February 19 when the team travels to UC Riverside, and the home opener is now set for Saturday, February 13 when the No. 52 49ers host No. 48 San Diego State.
