Catch Long Beach State
Long Beach State's home schedule comes to an end this week, concluding an eight-game homestand in the first year at the Rhodes Tennis Center. The 49ers start out the week hosting Dartmouth, as the Big Green make a West Coast trip that includes three other Big West opponents. Following that match, the 49ers play their final home match of the year against No. 15 Fresno State at Noon on Saturday.
Climbing The Ranks
Long Beach State slipped slightly in last week's poll after a 2-1 week. Long Beach State fell from No. 40 to No. 47, still remaining in the Top 50 as the team hits the home stretch prior to the Big West Championships and the NCAA Tournament
One Big Week
The 49ers completed one of their biggest week's of the year, playing three matches at home and picking up a 2-1 split. Long Beach State started the week with a 7-0 thrashing of Cornell, where the team won all nine matches. The 49ers returned two days later, defeating No. 75 Louisville 6-1. The week ended on a sour note, however, as No. 42 Denver stopped the Long Beach State winning streak with a 6-1 loss.
