Grady named Big West Player of the Week

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State's Hannah Grady was named the Big West Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 11-Feb. 18. Grady helped the 49ers defeat San Diego State on the road, downing a ranked opponent.
Grady took control in her only match of the week, dispatching #93 Julia Trunk of San Diego State 7-5, 6-1 after battling through a close first set at No. 1 singles. In doubles, Grady was also ahead prior to the remainder of the three doubles matches being rained out.
The 49ers make their Big West debut this Friday, when the 49ers host Cal State Northridge at 2 p.m., and then continue conference action on the road with a rescheduled match against Cal State Fullerton at 10 a.m. on the road.
