Tennis opener postponed until Wednesday

The 49ers and Trojans will try again on Wednesday.

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State's dual-season opener will have to wait, as the 49ers' match with USC has been postponed due to rain. The Beach will head back to the USC campus on Wednesday, January 28, with the match starting at 3 p.m.

Due to rains in the Southern California area, it was determined that the courts at USC would be unable to dry to get the match between no. 10 USC and no. 48 Long Beach State in today. The two teams will instead play next week. After the Wednesday match, the team will then make their first road trip, playing two matches at Cal starting with the Golden Bears on Saturday, January 31 at 2 p.m.
