Grady has 129 career wins, 67 singles wins and 62 doubles wins. All are within striking distance of the school-record, as she is 19 wins short of Stephanie Bengson's four month old record for overall wins (148) and singles victories (73). She is 20 wins shy of Sandra Rocha's 82 doubles wins. Grady went 26-10 last year.
Three sophomores also return for the 49ers in Big West Freshman of the Year Stephanie Jeanes, No. 3 player, Deborah Armstrong and Lisa Sutton. Armstrong was 23-15 last year and reached the Consolation Finals at the Cal Invite last year.
Jeanes was 18-7 and Sutton was 14-7, after both coming to campus in January. Armstrong and Sutton combined to go 19-5 in doubles play, while Jeanes and Weeks were 17-7.
The 49ers also feature two freshmen in Southern California natives Julie Luzar (Anaheim) and Rachel Manasse (Manhattan Beach). Luzar was the 11th-best prep player in California and ranked 200 nationally. Manasse was rated as high as No. 51 nationally and was 14th in the state.
Twelfth year Head Coach Jenny Hilt-Costello has reached the NCAA Tournament in six of the past seven years, including the last five straight.
