BERKELEY-- No. 3-ranked California (11-4, 4-1 MPSF) scored two goals in the first period and added three in the second, crusing to a 13-3 win over visiting Long Beach State (7-8, 2-2 MPSF) 13-3. The 49ers had two goals in the loss by Branwyn Lee.
Cal took a 2-0 lead after the first period and led 5-1 at the half. Cal then added three goals in the third period to lead 8-1.
The 49ers finished their swing through Central California with a win over Pacific, sandwiched between losses to No. 6-ranked UC Davis and the third-ranked Golden Bears.
