DAVIS/STOCKTON-- Long Beach State (7-7, 2-1 MPSF) rebounded after a tough 11-3 loss at No. 6-ranked UC Davis (10-6) in the morning to cruise past the University of the Pacific (3-10, 0-5 MPSF) 14-7, six hours later.

Dayna Wawrzynski had four goals against the Tigers, and six for the day, as the 49ers jumped out to a 3-1 first period lead and 7-3 halftime score. Lauren Sieprath added three goals, while three others chipped in two a piece. Kristen Stragier had eight saves in the night cap.

In the morning game, just over an hour away from Stockton, LBSU went up 2-0 in the first period, before the Aggies scored nine unanswered goals over the second and third periods to lead 9-2.

Wawrzynski gave the 49ers their early lead, opening up action with a goal on a short lob during the opening minute, then converting on a long outlet pass for a counter attack goal with less than two minutes left in the period. Briana Delfin had the other goal for the 49ers, in the fourth quarter.

The 49ers play at California tomorrow.
