Grady's Run Continues At Riviera Championships

Los Angeles, Calif. - Senior Hannah Grady defeated Princeton's Melissa Saiontz to advance to the consolation quarterfinals on Wednesday. The win guarantees her another day at the ITA Riviera Championships in Pacific Palisades.
Grady, who lost her opening match of the tournament, has responded by continued to advance through the consolation draw. She initially advanced over BYU's Kristina Doerr on Tuesday after Doerr withdrew from the tournament, and then on Wednesday, she controlled play throughout, defeating Saiontz handily 6-3, 6-1 in two sets.
Play will continue tomorrow for No. 64 Grady, who will take on the winner of UNC-Greenville's Alejandra Guerra and North Carolina's Austin Smith. The winner of that match will advance to the consolation semifinals.
