Barclay Runs a Career-Best in First Meet of 2007

BREA, Calif.-- Sophomore Missy Barclay ran a personal-best 18:49.10, breaking her freshman-best by five seconds, to finish 10th at the Fullerton Invitational 5K on Saturday morning. Fellow sophomore Jennifer Rodriguez finished 24th with a time of 19:12.40, while senior Bethany Gardner was 63rd with a time of 20:28.50.
On the men's side, Travis Kuhlman was the ninth-fastest collegian in his first race in a 49er uniform and 18th overall with a time of 27:00.90 in the 8K race. Mark Thomas, also in his first race as a 49er, was 32nd overall with a time of 27:24.80.
