Every Dirtbag had at least one hit as part of a season-high 17-hit attack The Beach broke open the game in the seventh off of four UCD pitchers, sending 10 men to the plate and scoring five times to lead 9-3. Shane Peterson extended his hit streak to 13 games with a three-hit afternoon, while Matt Cline had his fourth consecutive two-hit game and Robert Perry extended his hit streak to 15 games. The Aggies got close in the eighth, scoring three runs off of three LBSU pitchers to close to 9-6. UC Davis took their second lead of the weekend, at 2-1, in the fourth following an RBI triple from Daniel Descalso and an RBI groundout by Evan Hudson with the infield in, following a diving stop and putout by Matt Cline. UCD added a run in the sixth to lead 3-1 off an RBI single Aaron Hanke off of reliever David Roberts (3-0). Roberts gave up two runs over one and two-third innings of relief. Peterson went a career-high five and one-third innings on the mound, giving up three runs on five hits, while striking out three, but got the no-decision, after the offense woke up late in the game.
