Bengson & Porsz Advance In Doubles
Williams Falls At Riviera

BERKELEY, CA-- The Long Beach State doubles team of Stephanie Bengson
and Rachael Porsz won their match on Saturday and have advanced to the
finals of the back draw on Sunday. The 49er duo defeated Erica Barnes
and Casey Knutson of Santa Clara 8-0. In singles play, both Porsz and
Bengson were eliminated. Bengson fell to Kady Pooler of Arizona State
6-4, 6-4, while Porsz lost to Laila Abdala of Arizona State, 7-5, 6-7
(2), 6-10.

LOS ANGELES, CA-- In the Pre-Qualifying Singles opening round of the Riviera
All-America Championships, the 49ers Katy Williams lost 6-1, 6-0 to Renata
Kucerkova of Fresno State. Williams is eliminated from the singles draw.
The 49ers will have two players competing on Monday at the Riviera as
Hannah Grady will compete in singles play and the doubles team of Grady
and Jessica Weeks will also be competing as well. Their first round opponents
for Monday have yet to be determined.
