LBSU to Open MPSFs as 10th Seed

49ers to Open up MPSF Championships Thursday WOODLAND, CA-- No. 10-ranked Long Beach State (15-12) will open up the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on Thursday at 1:45 p.m. as the 10th seed against seventh-seeded Arizona State. LBSU has won six of its last nine games. The Championships will be hosted by UC Irvine. If the 49ers, who beat the Sun Devils earlier this season, win on Thursday, they will take on second-seeded UCLA on Friday at 1:45 p.m. If they lose, they play the loser of the Hawaii/CS Northridge game at 11:15 a.m. Cassie Azevedo enters the championships, just two goals away from tying Angelica Garcia's school-record for scores (206), set in 2004. |
