49ers Fall In Singles Semi-finals
Tabatruong/Liebschner Win Back Draw Doubles

FULLERTON, CA-- Both Long Beach State singles entrants at the CS Fullerton Fall Intercollegiates fell in Sunday's semi-finals. No. 85-ranked Katy Williams fell to Cal Poly's Brittany Blalock, 6-3, 7-5. Sophomore Jessica Weeks dropped her semi to Pepperdine's Jill Braverman 6-2, 6-2.

In the consolation doubles draw, Emmanuelle Tabatruong and Denise Liebschner won the title with two victories. They beat CS Fullerton's Brandy Andrews and Cheyenne Ingliss 8-2 and in the back draw title match they beat Fullerton's Gina Le and Katrina Domela 8-5.

The 49ers will next be in action on October 18-22 when they compete at the Omni Hotels ITA Fall Regional in San Diego, CA.
