49ers Fall At UC San Diego
LA JOLLA, CA-- Brandon Borso scored the game-winner with just ten seconds left in the game to lift No. 5 UC San Diego (17-2) to a 9-8 win over No. 8 Long Beach State (12-5) on Saturday evening at Canyonview Pool. The victory was third this season by the Tritons over the 49ers. Borso scored five goals on the night for the victorious Tritons. Senior Brad Scoles led the way for the 49ers with three goals and Brett McCleave added two. 49er goalie Thomas Onyshko had a season-high 12 goalie saves. Jay Gerardi, StefanLudecke and Erik Geoffroy each added one goal. Long Beach will next be in action next Saturday when they play Princeton and Cal Baptist in Riverside at the Cal Baptist Tournament. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
