49ers Sweep NorCal, Defeat UC Davis 13-3

49ers Sweep Through Northern California DAVIS, CA-- No. 5-ranked Long Beach State (15-5) swept through its weekend trip to Northern California, taking care of UC Davis (19-10) 13-3 on Sunday afternoon. Drue Wawrzynski tallied a team-best four goals, while Sammy Junod added two. "We played really well today, considering UC Davis is a pretty good team," said Head Coach Ricardo Azevedo. "We were able to execute our game plan all weekend long and I think how well we played against USC last weekend (a 12-10 overtime loss) really carried over to this weekend." Bri Hawkins became the all-time saves leader, tallying 10 saves, gving her 561 in her career. Angelica Garcia with three goals this weekend broke Ashley Richardson's all-time record, giving her 185 goals for her career. The Beach took care of California on Friday, 11-9, and defeated Pacific yesterday 16-6. LBSU returns home to host UCLA on Saturday, April 10 for a contest at noon.
