Beach Sweep Singles Play led by Bouffler and Chan

RIVERSIDE, CA-- Long Beach State women's tennis (5-5, 3-0 Big West) won its third straight, sweeping all six singles spots en route to a 6-1 win over host UC Riverside on Friday afternoon.

The 49ers after losing the doubles point went to work in singles play, sweeping all six positions highlighted by #1 singles player Nicole Bouffler's straight set triumph over Michelle Beyronneau 6-1, 6-4 and #2 singles player Kelly Chan's sweep of Casey Cross, 6-,3 6-2. Sandra Rocha, Allanah Carroll, Emmanuelle Tabaruong and Claudia Argumedo rounded out the straight-set sweep of the highlanders.

The Beach return home for a six-match homestand beginning with Charlotte on March 12.
