Alex Graham Asks To Be Released

LONG BEACH, CA-- Long Beach State head men's basketball coach Larry Reynolds announced that 7'0" redshirt sophomore center Alex Graham (Redlands, CA) has asked to be released from his scholarship so he may pursue options to play at another school.
Graham played in 10 games this past season for the 49ers, averaging 0.2 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in 69 minutes of action. Graham grabbed three rebounds in three separate games (at San Diego State, at Minnesota, at Utah State). He played a season-high 13 minutes at Utah State, finishing with three rebounds and one blocked shot.
Graham, who redshirted in 2001-02 at LBSU, played in 19 games in the 2002-03 campaign, averaging 2.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while shooting .516 (16-31) from the field. He had a career-best eight points at Gonzaga and started in the season finale at UC Irvine, finishing with four points and a career-high seven rebounds in 14 minutes of action. Graham prepped at Redlands High School where he averaged 17.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game his senior year en route to earning second team All-CIF honors. |
