Beach Drop Third Straight Over Top-Three Team No. 4-ranked 49ers Fall 10-4 to No. 3-ranked UCLA LOS ANGELES, CA-- The No. 4-ranked Long Beach State women's water polo team (11-5, 3-2 MPSF) dropped its third straight decision to a top-three program, when it lost 10-4 at No. 3-ranked UCLA (12-3, 4-2 MPSF) on Friday afternoon. The Beach had closed to 2-1 midway through the first half, but the Bruins would outscore The Beach 7-2 over the first two periods. Drue Wawrzynski, Angelica Garcia, Cassie Azevedo and Robyn Gordin each had one goal a piece for the 49ers. Kristyn Pulver, Lauren Heineck and Kelly Rulon scored two goals a piece for UCLA. LBSU had lost the final two games of the UC Santa Barbara Tournament, last weekend, to top-ranked Stanford and No. 2-ranked USC.
