49ers Win At Pacific, 13-10
Brad Scoles Tallies Three Goals

Stockton, CA-- Sophomore Brad Scoles scored three goals to lead #7-ranked Long Beach State to a 13-10 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) men's water polo victory at #14 Pacific on Saturday afternoon. With the win the 49ers improve to 12-7 overall and 2-0 in the MPSF, while the Tigers fall to 5-12 and 0-4 in league play.
The 49ers piled up 13 goals on the day, led by Scoles' three. Reid Tomassi, David Del Grande and Nathan Allard all tallied two goals as the 49ers used a 6-2 second quarter to take a commanding 10-5 halftime lead. Pacific made the game close by out-scoring the 49ers 3-1 in the final quarter, but the 12-7 lead after three quarters was more than enough.
Eight different 49ers scored goals on the day as Long Beach State improved to a perfect 2-0 in the MPSF, with both victories coming on the road. Last weekend the 49ers won at UC Irvine, 7-5. This Northern California road trip continues on Sunday when the 49ers play at #2-ranked California at 12 pm in Berkeley.
