STOCKTON, CA-- The No. 5-ranked 49ers (11-7, 4-3 MPSF) ran their win streak to five in a row with a 10-6 victory over No. 18-ranked Pacific (3-12, 1-9 MPSF). Freshman Bri Hawkins, upped her record to 6-1 on the season with a career-best 12 saves as the team's underclassmen exceled against the Tigers.
Freshmen Drue Wawrzynski, Roberta Stewart and Robyn Gordin and sophomore Angelica Garcia each tallied two goals a piece as The Beach took their third straight MPSF decision. LBSU led 4-1 after one quarter, scoring four consecutive goals after the Tigers went up 1-0. In the third period, after UOP closed to 5-3, Sam Junod and Ashley Richardson scored back to back goals to put the game away. The Beach take on No. 4-ranke California on Saturday before heading to No. 2-ranked Stanford on Sunday.
