Beach Volleyball To Host Tri-Dual On Campus

Long Beach State welcomes Concordia and CSUN to the LBSU Sand Courts Saturday morning.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – After two weekends on the road, No. 10 Beach Volleyball will be back in Long Beach to compete, hosting Concordia and CSUN in a tri-dual starting at 9 a.m. at the LBSU Sand Courts.
Long Beach State (18-10) will start by facing Concordia (11-14) for the second time this season. The Beach defeated the Golden Eagles 5-0 at LMU back on February 27, and the dual will open with the rematch at 9 a.m. Saturday morning on campus.
CSUN (7-18) will then take on Concordia in a neutral match beginning at 11 a.m. Long Beach State will then take on the Matadors to finish the day's action in a match scheduled for 1 p.m. The Beach won 3-2 at the Big West challenge, the only meeting this season between the two teams.
Long Beach State is led by seniors Malia Gementera and Taylor Hagenah. The two-time All-Americans are having another outstanding season, now 19-9 overall in the top flight this season. Tineke Hinton and Demi Wagdy have also played very well, now 16-7 as a pair at the second flight. Combined, Long Beach State has a 39-17 record in the top two flights which has anchored their success so far this season.
