Le shot a final round 71 to hold off Cal State Fullerton’s Davina Xanh.
LAHAINA, Hawaii – Senior Madison Le led wire-to-wire, holding off a late charge from defending Big West Player of the Year Davina Xanh to win the 2026 Big West Championship with a total score of 208 over 54 holes, -8 under par.
Final Results
Le had two birdies on the front nine, and finished off the day with a 71 to go under par again, holding off Xanh, who eagled 18 to make things close at the top of the leaderboard. Le finished one stroke in front of Xanh and was five strokes in front of third-place Kim Turgut of CSUN, one of just four golfers to finish under par at the championship. It was the first win of the senior's collegiate career, and her second Top 10 performance at the Beach.
Freshman Kailey Yoon also shot 71 on Tuesday to close the tournament in a tie for 14th place, the third Top 20 finish of the season in her first year. Emma Kang shot a one-over 73 and Alyson Sor shot a 74 as the team's two other counting scores, while Erin Lee was one stroke back of that with a final day 75.
Le is the seventh individual Big West Champion from Long Beach State Women's Golf, the sixth different individual to be the individual medalist at the championship, and the sixth champion from Long Beach State in the last eight editions of the tournament.
As the individual champion of the Big West, Le will receive an automatic entry into the NCAA postseason as an individual. The destination for the senior will be announced as part of the NCAA Selection Show, which will be shown live on Golf Channel at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29.
As a program, Long Beach State Women's Golf has now participated in the NCAA postseason in nine of the last eleven seasons, dating back to 2015.
The team finished in a tie for fourth place with CSUN at +12 for the tournament. Cal Poly was the team champion at +2.
