Madison Le Remains In Lead After Day Two Of Big West Championship

Le birdied 18 to hold a five-stroke lead entering the final day.
LAHAINA, Hawaii – Senior Madison Le maintained her spot on top of the leaderboard after the second round of three at the Big West Championship from Maui.
Day Two Results
Le wrapped up round two on Monday with a birdie on the par five 18th, helping her finish the day with a 74 and hold a five stroke lead over Sarah Yoo of Cal Poly entering the final day of competition. Freshman Kailey Yoon had the best day overall for the Beach, using consistent play to finish with a 73 overall and move up eight places into a tie for 19th overall.
Junior Erin Lee was one shot behind Le with a 75, balancing out a slow start with three straight birdies on holes eight through ten. Emma Kang and Alyson Sor each shot a 78 on day two.
As a team, Long Beach State slipped back one spot into third place overall, two strokes in front of Cal State Fullerton. The Beach will play in the final group with UC Davis and team leaders Cal Poly for the third and final round on Tuesday.
