Beach Volleyball Recognizes Seniors In Final Two Matches Of Regular Season

Long Beach State will host two ranked programs at LBCC on Friday evening.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – No. 10 Long Beach State brings the regular season to a close, taking on two ranked opponents in No. 11 Grand Canyon and No. 12 Arizona State at Long Beach City College on Friday.
The matches should be very exciting, pitting three good teams against each other and giving Long Beach State (20-10) a great test prior to the conclusion of the season.
The evening will begin as the Beach takes on No. 12 Arizona State (17-12) at 4 p.m., going directly into a match with No. 11 Grand Canyon (18-10) at 5 p.m.
Seniors Malia Gementera and Taylor Hagenah have compiled a 20-10 record in the top flight this season leading the way for the Beach, while Tineke Hinton and Demi Wagdy have the best winning percentage of any regular pair on the season, having gone 18-7 in the second flight.
Following the matches, Long Beach State will recognize their three graduating seniors in Savannah Standage, Malia Gementera and Taylor Hagenah.

The postseason will begin with the Big West Championship, hosted this season by Cal Poly. The double elimination tournament will begin on Thursday, April 23 and conclude on Friday, April 24.
