Lucy Miszewski Named To The 2026 Cutino Award Watch List

The senior is the fifth Long Beach State player nominated since 2022.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Senior Lucy Miszewski has been nominated to the 2026 Cutino Award Watch List as USA Water Polo announced this Thursday the players selected for the season.
The Peter J. Cutino Award, named in honor of the late Hall of Fame coach, honors the best player each season in men's and women's college water polo. This watch list was created in 2022 and selects 20 athletes recognized for their outstanding play.
Miszewski is the third women's water polo player from Long Beach State to be nominated for the award. In her only season at the Beach, the senior ranks second on the team with 51 goals and adds 30 assists to go along with 26 steals. A transfer from San Jose State, Miszewski passed the 100 career goals milestone early in the season and has been a key player for the Beach this season and ranks second in the Big West with 53 sprints won for a 78.7% sprint percentage.
