Big West opener highlights busy weekend for men’s water polo.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The No. 7 Long Beach State men's water polo team opens Big West play with a home game against No. 10 UC San Diego on Friday before hitting the road to face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday.
The Beach enter Big West play as the reigning regular season champions after going 5-0 in the regular season in 2025. Long Beach State enters the weekend with an 11-4 record following a perfect 2-0 weekend at the Gary Troyer Tournament on Saturday, October 3.

- Against No. 20 CUI, Frigola led the way with five goals as Gabi Acosta netted four fourth quarter goals to seal the second win of the day for the Beach.
