Opening Challenge for the Beach
Long Beach State will face a formidable test in its opening match against host and No. 1 seed Texas Tech, a program consistently ranked among the nation's elite and well-versed in ITA Kickoff Weekend competition. The Beach enters the weekend looking to translate a productive fall season and a strong performance at last week's Beach Tennis Winter Invitational into early spring success against a strong opponent.
Depending on Friday's results, LBSU will advance to either the championship match on Saturday afternoon or the consolation match later that evening, with both contests providing valuable experience and résumé-building opportunities early in the dual-match season.
