Women’s Golf Back In Action Monday At Leadership & Golf Invitational

Long Beach State returns to Chambers Bay Golf Course for the second straight season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – After a promising start to the season, Long Beach State Women's Golf will play for a second straight week, taking part in the Leadership & Golf Invitational hosted by Washington on September 15-16.
Long Beach State had a podium finish last season in their first time at the Leadership & Golf Invitational, placing third in a 16-team field at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash.
The teams will return to Chambers Bay, with Long Beach State and hosts Washington again filling out a 16-team field which will also include San Francisco, San Jose State, Hawai'i, Eastern Michigan, San Diego State, Little Rock, Colorado, UC Davis, Louisiana-Monroe, Seattle U, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon, Fresno State and Oregon State.
Junior Transfer Emma Kang had a strong start the season and will lead Long Beach State in the lineup for their trip to Washington. Kang had a second round 68 on the way to a Top 5 finish at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, leading the way for LBSU in her first competition with the Beach.
Senior Madison Le was second on the team last week from New Mexico, and will play second. The coming week will mark the 30th competitive tournament for the veteran with Long Beach State. Junior Erin Lee will play third for Long Beach State. The all-conference golfer from a year ago rebounded with a strong second and third round last week in Albuquerque.
Transfer Alyson Sor will play fourth for the Beach after placing in a tie for 31st at the Dick McGuire Invitational, while true freshman Kailey Yoon will make her debut in the lineup after earning her way into the opportunity with her play as an individual last week.
