Erin Lee Leads Long Beach State Following First Day At Leadership And Golf Invitational

Women’s Golf tied for eighth place overall following two rounds.
UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Junior Erin Lee led Long Beach State in both rounds of play Monday at the Leadership & Golf Invitational, ending the first day in the Top 20 after two rounds of play from Chambers Bay Golf Club.
Day One Results
Lee had an eagle on 14 and three birdies in the second round to finish with a 73 after a first-round 74, ending the day tied for 17th overall at three-over par against strong competition at the Leadership & Golf Invitational.
Emma Kang shared the first-round team lead with Lee, also carding a 74 before finishing the day at six-over par in a tie for 32nd. That matched the score of senior Madison Le, who shot back-to-back rounds of 75 for Long Beach State.
Alyson Sor and freshman Kailey Yoon had much-improved second rounds, both two-over at 74, to sit tied for 46th and 52nd, respectively, in the 84-golfer field.
As a team, Long Beach State finished the day tied for eighth place overall among the 16 teams, sharing the spot with co-hosts Seattle University.
