Long Beach State Wins Twice On Day One Of Steve Scott Invitational

Rice and Turner take home individual titles for the Beach
IRVINE, Calif.---Long Beach State won twice day one of the Steve Scott Invitational at Anteater Stadium Friday evening.
MEN
Cyprus Rice won the pole vault after clearing 16-3 1/2, his second-best mark of the season.
Aidan Turner was victorious in the long jump, going a season-best 24-3. Ryan Gregory tied for third in the event (23-9 1/2) with Kazu Kumura of UC Riverside.
Kyle Reden was third in the 800m after running 1:50.44.
Levi Taylor finished third in the mile, going 4:10.16.
Tyler Knowles placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 183-2.

WOMEN
Claudine Raud-Gumiel tied for third in the long jump (19-8 1/2) with Kailah McKenzie of UC Irvine to record the top Beach individual finish of the day. Her leap was her second-longest of the year.
