Men’s Golf Selected As Five Seed At The Urbana Regional

Long Beach State is making a third straight NCAA Regional appearance after historic Big West three-peat.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Men's Golf returns to the postseason, heading to the Urbana Regional hosted by Illinois at Atkins Golf Club as the program begins their postseason journey.
Long Beach State was picked as the fifth seed at the Urbana Regional, coming into the week ranked No. 26 in the nation. Oklahoma State was the top seed, followed by North Carolina, Illinois, Texas Tech, the Beach, UNLV, Houston, Marquette, Troy, Pacific, NC State, Illinois State and Wright State.
Krishnav Chopraa recorded his first career win, claiming the Big West Championship individual title with a record-tying 200 (-16), while Charlie Forster shot 63 on the final day to help push Long Beach State to a sixth Big West Championship, winning the tournament with a championship record-breaking score of 842 (-22) as a team.
The NCAA Regionals will be held over three days, May 12-14. The top 5 teams will advance to the advance from each regional to the national championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, May 23-28.
