Long Beach State posts three runner-up finishes
LONG BEACH, Calif.— The 29th Beach Invitational began Friday afternoon at Jack Rose Track. 74 teams from D-1, D-2, and Canada are being joined by six clubs (AthleteX, Elite Sports, EVO, Leap Squad, S.H.A.R.K.S, and Valor), making up 2,335 entries this weekend.
MEN
Aidan Turner ran a career-best 48.96 in the 400m to finish second. Anthony Coleman also turned in a career-best 49.10 to place third in the 400m.
TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES
WOMEN
Grace Stoddart and Grace Williams of Utah Valley cleared 12-5 1/2 in the pole vault, with Williams being awarded the top spot, which took her one less attempt to make the height. Both failed in three attempts at 12-11 1/2.
