Plummer Finishes Fourth At Bryan Clay Heptathlon

Plummer resets her career-high in the event

AZUSA, Calif.—Tori Plummer finished fourth in the C section of the Heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Multis Friday at Cougar Stadium. Plummer, a grad student, scored a career-high 4,912 points.

Plummer opened the day by going 18-5 3/4 in the long jump to finish fifth and score 738 points.

Plummer received 461 points for throwing the javelin a career-best 95-9. She placed eighth in the event.

The heptathlon ended with the 800m. Plummer ran a career-best 2:30.27 and came in fifth. She added 689 points, resulting in a new career heptathlon high of almost 600 points.

Wofford's Sherika Christie won the competition by scoring 5,474 points.

UP NEXT
Long Beach State hosts the Pacific Coast Invitational next Thursday before the Beach Invitational next Friday and Saturday. The Beach will also have limited entries at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays next week.
