Devin Askew Selected As CSC Academic All-District

The senior led Long Beach State scored in double-figures in every game for the Beach while also succeeding in the classroom.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Devin Askew was selected to the Men's Basketball Academic All-District Team. The award, presented annually by Collegiate Sports Communicators, recognizes student-athletes who achieve at extremely high levels both on the floor and in the classroom.
Askew is pursuing a second bachelor's degree at Long Beach State in Consumer Affairs while leading Long Beach State on the court in 2024-25.
Starting every game for Long Beach State, Askew scored in double-figures in all 32 games, leading the Beach at 18.9 points per game as well as leading LBSU and the Big West in both minutes played an assists this season. Askew scored over 20 points on 13 occasions and recorded three double-doubles on the year.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.50 or higher while also playing a major role athletically for their teams throughout each season.
